Melukote, a spiritual ride
This was a place which was in my want to go list saved on my Google maps account. Melukote is a place with rich historical and spiritual importance, it was in 12th Century when a saint Ramanujacharya decided to reside in this location for 14 long years as a result it became a spiritual hotspot. We had decided to start the ride at around 4 AM, 4 bike (3 Himalayan, 1 Suzuki Gixxer). Meeting point was hotel Taj, Yeshwanthpur. Since this was temple ride, I woke bit early around 3:30 AM to have bath and I was all ready at 4.45 and pinged my friend to check if he was ready, he told me that he was still getting ready. Three of them were all coming from Vijayanagar and as I stay in yeshwanthpur, so told him to inform me once they left the place. About Hogenakkal Falls Hogenakkal is a waterfall in South India on the Kaveri river in the Dharmapuri district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 180 km (110 mi) from Bangalore and 46 km (29 mi) from Dharmapuri. Sometimes referred to as the "Niagara Falls of India," it is known for bathing areas and hides boat rides, projecting itself as a major tourist attraction. Carbonatite rocks in this site are considered to be the oldest of its kind in South Asia and one of the oldest in the world. The Government of Tamil Nadu made a proposal to convert the falls into providing drinking water for the state.
