One day trip to Nandi hills
Nandi hills, a nearest recreational spot to most of the Bengaluru. At a distance of 60 km from Bengaluru. I left Bengaluru at 6:00 Am and reached Nandi hills at 7:15 Am.
The way towards Nandi hills was fully filled with mist, also cops stopped me in between and a normal check of DL, RC, and insurance. Since it was weekend normally there would be cops stopping bikers. The climate made me remember the climate of Coorg. The extreme cold made me take a tea stop, I took a stop near a tea stall on the highway. Normally the place will be crowded on weekends.
I had been there on Sunday, hence I had to bear with the crowd. I took some snaps below the hill. Then moved up towards the hill, parked my bike and walked around 2 km to the hilltop. The place is known for the temple and Tippu drop.
Once I reached the hilltop, I was stunned by the view. I was above the clouds. I spent some time there and also had my breakfast there and left at around 9:30 Am.
Tippu's birthplace
I also visited Tippu's birthplace on my way back. There are a fort and few temples inside the fort (Devanahali fort) which was originally built by Mallabairegowda, which the Mysore, Nanjarajaiah, attacked the fort and occupied it. Later, the fort passed into the hands of Hyder Ali and subsequently Tipu Sultan. I spent around 45 minutes there and returned back towards Bengaluru, I reached back at around 1:00 Pm.
